Marigold Studio

Hand-painted originals and fine art prints from a working studio

About the Artist

Artist in the studio

I've been painting for fifteen years — starting with watercolour and shifting through oils and acrylics as I found what felt right in my hand. I work solo here in the studio, mostly from observation and memory, painting what catches the light or the feeling of a particular morning. Every piece that leaves this studio has been made here, one brushstroke at a time. I believe in slow work and honest materials. That's what you're buying when you buy from Marigold.

Three Ways to Own the Work

Whether you're looking to bring home a finished piece, or dreaming something new into being, there's a path here for you.

Buy an Original or Print

Browse finished paintings and hand-printed fine art prints in the shop. Originals are one-of-a-kind; prints are made on archival paper in small batches so you can own a piece of the work without the original price tag.

Commission a Painting

Describe the painting you're imagining — a subject, a size, a mood — and I'll paint it in my studio specifically for you. Commissions are how I get to paint the things I wouldn't otherwise, and how collectors get exactly what they're dreaming of.

Meet the Studio

I show work regularly at local galleries and outdoor art markets. Seeing a painting in person — the texture, the light, the way the brushwork catches your eye — is different from any photograph. Come by an exhibit.
